Answering every after-hours message without a night shift.
01The 9pm problem
Every owner knows the feeling: the phone lights up at 21:40 with a question that will take ninety seconds to answer - and the choice is to answer it now and never really close the day, or leave it and start tomorrow already behind.
Multiply that by chat, inbox and missed calls, and after-hours becomes a second unpaid shift. The usual fix is hiring night coverage. There is a better one.
02What answers at night
Questions with answers that already live in your business - prices, availability, policies, order status, directions - get answered immediately, in your tone, from your own data. Not a generic bot script: the memory vault holds the real answers because it read your documents and your history during onboarding.
A customer asking at midnight gets the same quality answer they would get from you at noon. You get to be asleep for it.
03What waits for morning
Anything that involves a decision - a discount request, an unusual complaint, a new opportunity - is not guessed at. It is drafted, filed into the approval queue, and waits. You wake up to prepared replies, not raw chaos: read, tweak if needed, approve.
The goal is not to reply to everything automatically. It is to make sure nothing is lost and nothing is decided without you.
04What escalates
Some things should wake you up. You define them - a word, an amount, a name - and when they appear, Optimus does not wait for morning. Everything else respects your sleep.
These escalation rules are set together on day five of onboarding and refined as reality tests them.
05The morning briefing
At the hour you choose, the night arrives as one calm summary: what came in, what was answered, what awaits your approval, what needs your eyes. Five minutes with coffee instead of an hour of archaeology across four apps.
Night coverage without a night shift - that is the whole idea.
